I. RECOGNITION FROM SLOVENIAN SOCIETY OF GEOGRAPHERS

In 2001, Vekoslav Kebe won recognition from the Slovenian Society of Geographers for his work and exceptional pesentation of Lake Cerknica. According to the experts opinion, the Museum as an educational centre can be considerd one of the very best educational facilities in Slovenia.

 

II. THE BEST EXAMPLE OF GOOD PRACTICE OF THE INTERPRETATION CENTRE

The Museum of Cerknica Lake has been recognised as the best example of good practice of the interpretation centre for lakes in the Alpine region and is presented in the international catalogue of good practices of the ALPLAKES project.

 

III. VEKOSLAV KEBE - INVENTOR

On the basis of the Lake Cerknica Live model project, Vekoslav Kebe became an inventor.

 

IV. RECOGNITION BY KD NAŠA SLOVENIA (OUR SLOVENIA CULTURAL SOCIETY)

Museum of Cerknica Lake - Jezerski Hram, which is located in the village of Dolenje Jezero, is the life-work of Vekoslav Kebe and his family. Firmly convinced of the perciousness and nesessity of his concept he developed, during his prolonged endeavours, a cultural-information centre that through its diverse capacities acquaints the visitors of Lake Cerknica and its unique surroundings with the natural and cultural heritage of the central part of the Notranjska region. The intermittent lakes model, ethnological collection, multivision and cultural tourism by far surpass the usual individuals spirit of enterprise, while the high quality of the presented features invite people to follow his suit and to participate in the local and wider, even international environment.
